Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 July 2026
Gramoo is an online grammar-learning service (“Gramoo”, “we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us for the use of Gramoo, our app and website. By creating an account or using Gramoo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Gramoo. You can contact us using hello@gramoo.xyz.
Minimum age (13+)
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Gramoo. By using it you confirm that you are 13 or older. Gramoo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their data, please contact us using hello@gramoo.xyz and we will delete it.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without your permission.
- Choose a display name that is not offensive, misleading, or someone else's name or brand. We may change or reset a display name that breaks this rule.
- If social features such as leaderboards launch, your display name (never your email) may be visible to other learners.
Using Gramoo fairly
Please do not:
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our lessons, exercises, or other content;
- try to break, overload, probe, or get around the security of the service;
- use bots or scripts to farm XP, streaks, or other rewards, or to access content you have not unlocked;
- use Gramoo to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put other learners or the service at risk.
Gramoo Plus and payments
- Free learners get one lesson a day.
- Gramoo Plus is a one-time payment that removes the daily lesson limit, gives unlimited hearts, and unlocks the downloadable Grammar Master certificate after course completion. It is not a recurring subscription.
- “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Gramoo service: your unlock lasts for as long as Gramoo operates and you keep your account. It is personal to your account and cannot be sold or transferred.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Prices and what Plus includes may change over time, but a change will not remove access you have already paid for.
Cancelling and refunds:
- Gramoo Plus is digital content that we supply as soon as you buy it. By purchasing, you ask us to unlock it immediately, and you acknowledge that once it is unlocked you lose the usual 14-day cooling-off (cancellation) right for online purchases.
- Apart from the legal rights described below, all purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for change of mind once Plus is unlocked.
- If Plus is faulty or not as described, UK consumer law gives you remedies, which can include a repair, a replacement, or a refund. Nothing in these terms removes those rights.
XP, hearts, streaks, and other rewards
- XP, hearts, streaks, achievements, and similar features are game features with no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money.
- We may adjust or reset them where needed to keep the game fair or fix a problem, for example to correct a bug or remove farmed rewards.
- Losing hearts, a streak, XP, or similar does not entitle you to compensation.
Our content
The lessons, exercises, artwork, the Gramoo name and mascot, and the app itself belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other rights. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning. You do not get any other rights in them.
A learning aid, not a guarantee
Gramoo teaches English grammar and is provided for general education. It is not professional, academic, or legal advice. We do not promise any particular result, grade, exam outcome, or level of improvement. How much you get out of it depends on you. We work hard to keep lessons accurate, but we cannot promise the content is always complete or error-free, and we correct mistakes when we find them.
Availability and changes to the service
We may add, change, pause, or remove features, content, or limits (such as the free daily lesson or the hearts system), and we may change or discontinue the service. We try to give notice of significant changes but cannot always do so. We are not responsible for the service being unavailable, interrupted, or changed, except where the law says otherwise.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may also suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
No warranties
We work hard to keep Gramoo useful and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. So far as the law allows, we do not give any warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by law.
Our liability to you
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims connected with Gramoo is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £50. We are not liable for indirect, special, or unforeseeable losses, for lost data, or for lost profits or opportunities.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law: this includes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and any of your legal rights as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use Gramoo and for following these terms. If you use it in a way that breaks these terms or the law and that causes us loss or a claim from someone else, you may be responsible for the reasonable, direct costs we face as a result, so far as the law allows. This does not apply to ordinary, honest use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Gramoo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Sorting out problems
If you have a problem with Gramoo, please contact us first using hello@gramoo.xyz and give us a chance to put it right. Most issues can be fixed quickly this way.
Nothing here affects the consumer rights you have under the law where you live, including your right to bring a claim locally.
General
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Gramoo without owing you anything.
- These terms are the whole agreement between us about your use of Gramoo.
- We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms (for example if the business is sold); your rights are not affected.
- These terms do not give anyone other than you and us the right to enforce them.
